Sex: female, not spayed yet. Appointment on Dec 7th
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Weight: 3 lbs currently
Housebroken: using a potty pad & going outside most of the time
Kids: older mature kids please. Daphne is not a children’s dog, so the older the better 13 and older
Other dogs: friendly with other small dogs. She was bottle fed, she only knew her siblings who have been adopted. If you have another small dog, all the better for her.
Cats: cat safe
Grooming: at 12 weeks of age, she has had her face and booty shaved 3 times already. She will need grooming appointments for life. Please remember this when budgeting for a dog.
Personality: Daphne is very sweet and loving. Our volunteer Emily did a great job bottle feeding and raising her to 12 weeks old. Daphne loves toys, loves to play and also cuddle when she’s tired.
What we know: the pups were brought to the emergency vet when mom dog passed away 5 days after giving birth. They were relinquished and Emily took them home and started bottle feeding. She is eating 3 times a day currently. Sometimes needs a little hand feeding encouragement.
•Medical: healthy, vaccinated x 3, dewormed and microchipped. Will be fixed on December 7th
•How to apply: we are accepting applications of interest only on Daphne at this time. (The other 3 pups have been adopted.) She is in foster care in the Orange county area.
