Name: Love Bug

Other dogs: friendly with other dogs. Lived with another female senior Poodle. She is dominant and a better match for older dogs rather than younger dogs.
Cats: cat safe
Housing: houseing with access to backyard space will be her best match. Her only limitation will be walking long distances or excessive walking due to her heart murmur
Personality: She is a small girl. Very sweet. Loves to be carried around of course. Sleeps in her bed at night. Good eater. Happy girl. She just wants to be your little home body.
What we know: was surrendered to rescue when her owner was unable to care for her due to dementia.  She lived in a quiet home with an older single woman. She will warm up to women much quicker than men.
•Medical: she came to us with a 4/6 heart murmur which is controlled by heart medication called Vetmedin.  She will need to be on Vetmedin for the remainder of her life. We have almost a one year supply. We repeated her echocardiogram, which confirmed the continued need for vetmedin to help her lead a longer, healthy happy life. Other than that, she is relatively healthy with normal blood work. She’s also been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Name: Pop Tart
Age: almost 2 yrs old
Sex: male, neutered
Breed: Mix breed. Microchip states he has Frenchie in him which explains the coloring.
Weight: 27 lbs
Housebroken: yes, we believe so
Kids: 9 and older will be fine
Other dogs: good with other dogs, fine as an only dog too.
Cats: unknown at this time
Housing: Housing with backyard space will be best.
Personality: Pop-Tart is a darling boy. He is very sweet and loving with his person. He has a very happy-go-lucky personality, loves his toys, and is most happy out on a walk.
What we know: owner surrendered to our vet, then transferred to rescue.

Personality: Kika is a sweet dog. She enjoys her daily walks. She loves her squeaker toys and will chase a ball for as long as you can throw it. She is very smart and will bond very easily with her new owner. Kika will sit on command for a treat. She just wants to be loved. Kika has a very happy personality.
What we know: Kika was abandoned by her prior owner.

Other dogs: friendly with other dogs. Is fostered with several senior dogs of various ages. Does fine.
Cats: cat safe
Housing: she is being fostered in a house with access to backyard space which is easiest for her as she is not fond of walking on leash which would be required for condo apartment living.
Personality: she is a tiny girl. Very sweet. Loves to be carried around of course. Sleeps in her bed at night. Good eater. Happy girl. She just wants to be your little home body.
What we know: found as a stray so we have no back history. She is not a big leash walker.  More of a home body. She will potty in your backyard space and also use a pee pad if left in a room while you run errands.
•Medical: relatively healthy, normal blood work, we spayed her, removed some mammary masses, she had a dental with extractions, is vaccinated and microchipped. She also has cataracts (requiring no medication) but finds her way around her foster home perfectly well. She is hard of hearing, can hear high pitched sounds.

Other dogs: she is a friendly girl, but will do best as an only dog. She wants to be your one and only.
Cats: no cats
Housing: she needs a house with backyard space. Loves having a yard. Will fetch her toys.
Personality: Desiree is a darling girl. She’s very sweet and very loving. She loves her person wholeheartedly. She is active & very playful with her toys. She will chase them, she will suckle them, sleep with them at night, but she doesn’t like to share her toys or her person with other dogs. So she will be best as an only dog. She has a very happy-go-lucky personality. Will bond very easily with her new owner. Desiree just wants to be loved. She’s a really wonderful, happy, loving little Frenchie but she needs to be your one and only.

They are lap dogs who are heat intolerant and can have breathing issues if you over exercise them. They are high-maintenance dogs which is why there are so many in the shelters & in rescue. They require facial fold cleaning, butt wiping, ear cleaning, and skin maintenance, especially during the hot, allergy ridden summer months. Please research what you are adopting.
What we know: Desiree was used for breeding & discarded when they were done with her. She arrived blind in her right eye so, we had it removed. She has completely normal vision in her remaining eye. She has no current medical issues.
Medical: healthy, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped. Arrived with no sight in her right eye, so we had it removed. She has normal vision in her left eye. No medical issues. Skin/coat is healthy but as you know there is always daily maintenance for Frenchies.

Personality: she is a darling dog, and has a very sweet and very loving personality. This little gremlin loves her person. She is active & playful with her toys and has a very happy-go-lucky personality. This snorty little gremlin knows how to sit & is learning ‘down’ and ‘shake.’ She will bond very easily with her new owner. She is all about pleasing her person. She is a total snuggle bug.

Breed: Mix Breed, he probably has several little breeds in him (Doxie, Chihuahua, Corgi?) He has no tail, short legs, and is low to the ground.

Housebroken: yes. He is currently fostered in a house with backyard access via doggie door.
Kids: teenage kids will be best for Poncho
Other dogs: he is currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs and doing good. He does love his toys and can be toy possessive sometimes. He can play rough with his toys too.
Cats: no cats
Housing: He will definitely need housing with backyard space. Not a good match for Apartment/Condo living
Personality: Poncho is a darling boy. He is very sweet and loving with his person. He just exudes personality. He is a little clown. He rolls around on his back and can walk on his hind legs and bunny hop. He is a very happy boy. He will settle in and bond very quickly with his new owner.
What we know: owner surrendered. He is very sweet. Good play manners with his person, good on leash, however long walks are not his jam. He is not a hiking/running partner dog. He simply prefers to play in his own backyard and keeps himself busy with his own toys. He has a very happy-go-lucky personality. Loves his toys and will chase whatever toy you throw. He sleeps in bed with his foster mom.
