Join Our Crew
We are always looking for friendly and personable volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of the rescue animals in our care. We have volunteer opportunities available in a variety of roles. We ask that you can commit to volunteering with us a minimum of 3-4 hours a week for at least 3 months as we are a very small crew and orienting, and training new volunteers takes a lot of time.
All volunteers must be 21+ and be experienced dog handlers or dog owners. Some of the animals in our care may have been abused, mistreated, or have behavioral issues, and it is important that our volunteers are competent and confident.
Volunteer on site
Dog Walkers – a very important role to exercise and mentally enrich the dogs in our care. Walk our dogs on your time during the week.
Companionship – give them love and attention or simply sit with our dogs to help them decompress and settle in.
Help at adoption events – we have 2-3 local adoption events a month, usually on weekends. We need help transporting dogs & sitting with the dogs at the events. The more volunteers we have, the more dogs we can take.
Grant Writing – we always need help with this very important role.
Host a fundraiser – bake sale, yard sale, Facebook birthday fundraiser, car wash, eBay auction…whatever creative idea you have for a fundraiser to help our lifesaving mission would be wonderful.
