View our dogs – Please view the available dogs on our website and read each dogs biography completely to learn what they need in a home placement. Please do not apply for a dog if you are traveling soon, in the middle of home construction, or you need to build or repair a fence. Do this first before applying.
We regret that we can not adopt to families with children under the age of 7.
We show/adopt dogs on Saturday, by appointment only, with an approved application from 11am to 3pm. Remember that most of our dogs are in foster care.
You must be 25 yrs or older to adopt. We do not do out of state adoptions.
Application of Interest – If you see a dog on our website that you are interested in, please submit an application of interest. Fill the application out completely and elaborate on your answers. If you are still living in your parents’ home (regardless of your age), the homeowner/parent must fill out the application. We regret that we can not adopt to families with children under the age of 7. No out of state adoptions.
Application reply: You will get email confirmation that your application has been received, so check your spam also. Due to the number of applications and emails we receive, we are unable to elaborate on why your application is not the dogs best match. Make sure you read the dogs biography completely.
Adoption donations vary on average from $400-$650 depending on the size, breed, age, and medical condition of each dog. Please understand that this is a charitable donation used to help cover the costs associated with rescue; including medical care, vaccines, deworming, flea control, grooming, training, surgeries, dental cleanings, medication, microchips and spay/neuter surgery and is not a purchase price for a dog. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
Due to our agreement with the City of LA (they hold our shelter kennel license) any unfixed puppies need to be adopted in our local area of the South Bay and North Orange County beach cities only. They need to return to OUR vet (not yours) for vaccines and to be fixed. No exceptions.
Our adoption process is NOT meant to be an invasion of your privacy. We do not adopt on a first-come first-serve basis. We are selective. Our priority is the well-being of our dogs and they will be adopted based on the needs of that particular dog. You will only be contacted if your application is a good potential fit for the animal you are interested in otherwise you will not hear from us.
Home check – While a home visit is required prior to final placement, it does not guarantee an adoption. We like to see where our dogs will be living to make sure that they will be in a safe and secure environment. Often, we can help with unforeseen health risks and help to secure yards and fencing that a homeowner might miss. Please finish any ongoing construction projects, repairs to fencing or home improvement projects first before applying. We will not adopt a dog into a yard it can get out of.
Questions? Email us. Please don’t call Creative Pet Supply about our rescue dogs, the employees are not involved and do not know the answers to your questions. We prefer that you email us directly for questions and not message us on our social media accounts. Please reach out to us via the “Contact Us” link on this website
Not up for all of this? If for some reason you choose not to go through our screening process to adopt, please consider adopting from your local shelter. Below are some links to shelters who euthanize on a daily basis due to shelter overcrowding. Often times these shelters have reduced rates or adoption specials going on and sometimes they are even free.
